Terms and Conditions for Coaching Services “Talk with me 1:1”

Thank you for choosing to engage in life coaching services with Dean Pelic, DE:VERSU (“Coach,” “I,” “me,” or “my”). By booking a session or package, you (“Client” or “you”) agree to the following Terms and Conditions, including the No Refund Policy.
1. Services Provided
I provide online life coaching via Google Meet, focusing on self-awareness, goal achievement, and personal development. Coaching may address personal struggles, career clarity, lifestyle habits, or mindset blocks.
Coaching is not therapy, medical advice, or a substitute for mental health treatment.
Additionally, coaching may include values clarification, exploring personal challenges, reflecting on difficult emotions or topics, and making empowering requests or suggestions. The coaching relationship is collaborative and co-active; while I may help facilitate clarity and direction, it is your responsibility to enact changes.
If you feel that the coaching isn’t working as desired, you agree to communicate this promptly so that we can revisit your goals or adjust the coaching approach accordingly.
2. Eligibility & Client Acknowledgement
You must be at least 18 years old to access services.
You acknowledge and agree:
- That coaching is not a substitute for professional mental health care or medical treatment and is not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any mental health or medical conditions.
- That I am not acting as a medical professional, psychologist, psychotherapist, or licensed counselor.
- That coaching is currently an unregulated industry, and I am not licensed by any Croatian or international regulatory body, even though the sessions may be conducted online worldwide.
- That you are fully responsible for your own physical, mental, and emotional well-being during and after sessions, including your decisions and results.
You also agree to disclose any prior or current psychological or psychiatric treatment at the start of our coaching relationship. If mental health issues arise during coaching, you agree to inform me, and I may suggest an appropriate referral.
3. Booking & Payment
- Sessions must be booked and paid for in advance.
- No session is confirmed without full payment.
- The coaching relationship begins on the date of your first paid session.
- Payments are made via the designated online platform.
4. No Refund Policy & Cancellations
- All payments are final and non-refundable.
- You may reschedule a session with at least 48 hours’ notice, subject to availability.
- Cancellations within 48 hours or no-shows will result in forfeiture of that session.
- Refunds will only be considered if I cancel a session and am unable to reschedule it.
5. Session Format & Punctuality
- Sessions are held online via Google Meet. A private link is provided after booking.
- Each session lasts 45 minutes, with a 15-minute buffer (for me) to allow for wrap-up and transition.
- Late arrivals will not extend the session time. There are no refunds for lost time.
- Recording sessions is strictly prohibited by either party unless mutually agreed in writing.
6. Client Responsibilities
You are expected to:
- Be present, engaged, and open during coaching sessions.
- Take responsibility for your own development and action steps.
- Notify me of any concerns so we can adapt the coaching approach if needed.
7. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
- Coaching results are not guaranteed.
- You agree that I am not liable for any loss, decision, or outcome arising from your coaching experience.
- My total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for coaching services already delivered.
You acknowledge that coaching may involve exploration of personal beliefs, thoughts, or experiences that could trigger emotional discomfort or psychological distress. You accept responsibility for managing your emotional responses, you accept that this is part of the growth process, and agree to seek additional professional support if needed.
8. Confidentiality & Online Platform Risks
- All information shared during coaching sessions is treated as confidential unless:
- Disclosure is required by law (e.g. suspected child abuse, threat to harm self or others), or
- You provide written consent for specific information to be shared.
- You understand and accept the inherent risks of online communication.
- You are responsible for ensuring a quiet, private environment during sessions.
- Communication via email, phone, or Google Meet may not always be secure, and you accept these risks.
9. Intellectual Property
- Any tools, worksheets, or resources shared during sessions are for your personal use only.
- They may not be reproduced, copied, distributed, or published without written permission.
10. Termination of Services
- Either party may terminate the coaching relationship at any time by written notice.
- If I terminate the relationship, I will inform you with reasonable notice and discuss any remaining sessions.
- No refunds are issued for unused sessions unless termination is initiated by me.
You understand that termination may be required in rare cases, including disrespectful behavior, boundary violations, or unforeseen circumstances.
11. Voluntary Participation and Autonomy
You acknowledge that your participation in coaching is entirely voluntary and that you have the autonomy to accept or reject any guidance provided during sessions. You are encouraged to ask questions and clarify any concerns before, during, or after coaching sessions.
12. Waiver of Liability for Third-Party Services
During coaching, I may recommend external resources or services. You acknowledge that I do not guarantee or take responsibility for any third-party services, websites, or individuals referenced. Use of such services is at your own discretion and risk.
13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Croatia. In the event of a dispute:
- Both parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter via good-faith discussion or mediation.
- If unresolved, legal action may be pursued, and the prevailing party is entitled to reimbursement of reasonable legal fees and costs.
14. Entire Agreement, Amendments & Severability
- These Terms represent the full agreement between you and me.
- Amendments must be in writing and signed by both parties.
- If any clause is found invalid, the remaining provisions will remain enforceable.
15. Release & Waiver
You hereby release, waive, acquit, and forever discharge me, Dean Pelic and DE:VERSU, from all claims, demands, suits, or damages arising out of any actions, decisions, or results of your coaching engagement.
You understand this includes any personal, emotional, financial, or legal consequences resulting from your participation in coaching.
You further declare and represent that no promise, inducement, or agreement not expressed in this agreement has been made to you to sign it. This agreement shall bind your heirs, executors, personal representatives, successors, assigns, and agents.
16. Feedback
Feedback is always welcome and can be shared via email or during a session. Your insights help improve the coaching experience for everyone.
17. Consent to Agreement
By booking a coaching session, checking the required agreement box, or submitting a registration form, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. This acts as a legally binding contract between you and me.
By purchasing coaching, the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy also apply, which the customer is likewise required to accept before completing the order and making payment.
